Hi Friend, I recently went to my brother's college graduation, and seeing him reach such a big milestone got me thinking about my own journey and how much has changed over the past eight years. When I started my website, I was honestly pretty clueless about what I was doing. I wrote about whatever interested me at the time—fitness, healthier recipes, and life here in Florida. Somewhere along the way, I realized what I really loved was food. I loved creating recipes and sharing them with friends and family. I became obsessed with food photography and spent years learning and improving my skills behind the camera. What started as a hobby slowly turned into a career I never could have imagined. But the internet has changed so much over the years. There is more content than ever, more noise, more trends, and more pressure for creators to constantly chase whatever is getting attention in the moment. And honestly? I'm tired of trying to keep up with recipes and trends that don't even sound good to me. Cabbage and eggs? Sardine toast? I'll leave those to someone else. What I've realized is that I want to make recipes that I genuinely enjoy and that my family actually wants to eat. When I first started cooking, I loved creating healthier recipes, meal prepping for the week ahead, and making the occasional dessert or treat to share with friends. That's what got me excited to be in the kitchen in the first place. And I want to get back to that. Not to a specific diet or food trend. Not to what some platform thinks I should be making. Just back to what feels right in my kitchen. I want this space to feel simple again. I want to share the recipes I truly love cooking, the meals that make sense for real life, and the foods that end up on our table again and again. At the end of the day, it's just me in my kitchen cooking for my family of three, and that's the part I've always loved most. I love salmon and chicken, and I'm a big fan of simple Mediterranean-inspired meals. The kind of food that's made with real ingredients, tastes amazing, and doesn't require spending hours in the kitchen. At the heart of this space has always been real food, real process, and real recipes, and that's something that will continue to guide everything I share moving forward. You'll see more of me, more of my meal prep routines, little cooking tips I've picked up over the years, and the recipes I genuinely make for my family. Things like my caprese salad with roasted tomatoes and grilled chicken, wholesome breakfasts I prep ahead for busy mornings, and healthy dinners that are simple enough for a weeknight but still feel special. Do you naturally gravitate toward meals made with real ingredients that fit into everyday life? The kind of recipes that are simple enough for a busy Tuesday but can still be dressed up for a potluck, holiday gathering, or family get-together? If so, I think you're in the right place. Let's make that kind of food together. And if you've been here for years, thank you. Truly. Your support means more than you probably realize. Whether you've made one recipe or a hundred, I'm grateful you're here. I'm excited for what's ahead and really happy to share it with you. And as always, if you ever have a question, recipe request, or just want to say hello, I'm only a click away. Yours, Bobbie |
